FM The Rose is based in Lakeland, Florida. While our signal
has been around for many years, the station (in its current form) first
hit the airwaves in February of '97. We provide our listeners in
Hillsborough, Manatee, Hardee Highlands, De Soto, and, of course, Polk
County with great music from yesterday and today. You'll hear artists
like Elton John, Faith Hill, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Lionel Richie and
Rod Stewart.
Not only does The Rose feature some of the greatest music of the past 30 years, we also have a lot of experience. You'd be hard-pressed to find another radio station in Central Florida with a more experienced staff. In addition to the music,
98.3 FM also works hard to provide
you with updated news and information. Our local news is gathered
by our newsroom (people who actually work here in the building — what a
concept!). We're also affiliated with the Associated Press.
